Visit to Zvërnec Island

Morning: Departure for Apollonia Archaeological Site
After a delicious breakfast, meet your guide and driver at the hotel and set off for the Apollonia Archaeological Site. Located along the historic Via Egnatia, Apollonia was one of the most significant cities in Roman times. Known as Apollonia Prima, it was one of 16 ancient cities dedicated to honoring the god Apollo.

Upon arrival, your guide will take you on a journey through the site, where you’ll explore the ruins of this ancient city, which once flourished as a major center of trade and culture. The site is renowned for its grand temple of Apollo, its Roman amphitheater, and its ancient city walls.

  • Historical Importance: The city’s strategic location along the Via Egnatia made it a key hub for the Roman Empire. Julius Caesar sent his nephew, Augustus Octavian, to study oratory here, underscoring the city’s influence in Roman education and politics. Morning: Departure from Berat to Tirana
After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey back to Tirana from Berat. The drive takes approximately 2 hours, allowing you to relax and reflect on your incredible experiences over the past days. As you make your way back to the capital, enjoy the scenic views of the Albanian countryside.

Afternoon: Free Time in Tirana
Once you arrive in Tirana, you’ll have the rest of the day free to explore the city at your leisure. You can choose to revisit your favorite spots from earlier in the tour, enjoy a walk through Tirana's Blloku District, or indulge in some last-minute shopping for souvenirs. Whether you choose to relax in a local café, take a stroll through the city's parks, or visit the Grand Park of Tirana by the artificial lake, your free time offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy the city’s vibrant atmosphere.

Option 1: Overnight in Tirana
If your flight is the next day, you’ll have a restful night in Tirana. Enjoy a final dinner at a local restaurant or lounge, savoring the tastes of Albania one last time before your departure.

Option 2: Transfer to the Airport
If your flight departs later that day, your driver will be ready to transfer you to Tirana International Airport (Nënë Tereza Airport) for your departure. You will arrive at the airport in plenty of time to check in for your flight, bringing back wonderful memories of your journey through Albania.
