After the hike, explore the historic town of Kruja and its fortress.
Your adventure includes an overnight stay at a cozy Airbnb in Tirana, so you can rest before heading back to the city or continuing your exploration. This trip is a perfect blend of nature, history, and relaxation.
08:30 AM: Depart from your accommodation in Tirana.
10:00 AM: Arrive at Bovilla Lake, a picturesque turquoise reservoir nestled in the Dajti Mountains National Park.
10:15 AM: Begin the hike to Gamti Mountain. The trail is approximately 2 km with a steep ascent, featuring metal stairs and a viewing platform at the summit.
Midday: Summit Views & Exploration
12:30 PM: Reach the summit of Gamti Mountain. Enjoy panoramic views of Bovilla Lake and the surrounding landscapes.
01:00 PM: Explore the summit area, which includes caves offering additional scenic vistas.
01:30 PM: Descend back to the base of the mountain.
Afternoon: Kruja Visit & Return
02:30 PM: Depart for Kruja, the historic town known for its medieval fortress and the legacy of Albanian national hero, Skanderbeg.
03:30 PM: Arrive in Kruja and visit the Skanderbeg Museum located within the fortress.
04:30 PM: Enjoy a traditional Albanian lunch at a local restaurant within the fortress.
05:30 PM: Explore the Old Bazaar, renowned for its handicrafts, including traditional kilims and silver filigree.
06:30 PM: Begin the journey back to Tirana.
Evening: Return to Tirana
